Salary Range: $20.14 - $28.17

Job Description Summary:

Position Summary: This position is responsible for acquiring, retaining, and expanding customer relationships. The Sr. CSR provides exceptional customer service by managing the customer experience from introduction to HomeStreet Bank through profiling, assessing needs, and recommending products. Performs teller services, such as deposits, withdrawals, and account maintenance, while always maintaining superior customer service.

Primary Functions:

New Accounts/Sales Activities
  • Interview and profile customers to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
  • Partner with other bank lines to identify sales opportunities and ensure outstanding service.
  • Process complex transactions, including account ownership changes, trusts, guardianship, and estate accounts.
  • Originate consumer loans and ensure prompt processing.
  • Open and close various account types.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services, making referrals as appropriate.
  • Participate in sales programs to generate new customers.
  • Meet referral and personal performance goals.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services.
Service Activities
  • Lead by example in customer service and advocacy.
  • Actively listen and resolve issues with tact and professionalism.
  • Support branch lobby management.
  • Provide exceptional service utilizing STAR qualities: Seamless, Trustworthy, Attentive, Resourceful.
  • Resolve situations using HEAL guidelines: Hearing, Easing, Acting, Leaving positive impressions.
  • Find ways to exceed customer expectations.
  • Participate in community events.
Teller Activities
  • Perform daily teller transactions and maintain accuracy.
  • Balance cash drawer and maintain compliance records.
  • Manage vault cash and meet shipment requirements.
  • Assist with project responsibilities such as ATM processing and branch balancing.
  • Support other CSRs as needed.
Operational Activities
  • Participate in branch audits.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a CSR or in related operations.
  • Proficiency with teller software, Word, Excel, and banking programs.
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills.
  • Dependable, self-starter, able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent judgment and confidentiality skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and make decisions quickly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Considerations:
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Physical exertion up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Sitting, walking, standing, bending, and reaching as needed.
