Job summary

American Rock Products., a CRH company, is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Fort Myers to coordinate daily deliveries and provide responsive answers to customer requests. You'll work with drivers, sales, and operations to ensure timely service and accurate order details.

Starting wage range $23.00 - $26.70/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime. We offer a family culture, medical/dental/vision/prescription coverage, a 401k with company match, and opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with all departments and customers.
• Detail-oriented and thorough; able to work extended hours.
• Proficient with Windows applications; strong typing skills.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in high-stress environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer's customer and driver calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Schedules and tracks orders and deliveries.
• Prepare daily schedule for next-day deliveries outlining equipment, personnel, and material needed.
• Coordinate deliveries with customers, sales, quality control, operators and other personnel as required.
• Maintain working knowledge of city streets and surrounding areas to assist drivers in locating specific job sites.
• Develop a positive rapport with Ready Mix Drivers, Team members and the customers.
• Schedule, dispatch and control the appropriate level of drivers required to satisfy customer demand while maintaining safety and efficiency goals established by the company.
• Must be able to work overtime and varying shift including early mornings, late afternoons and Saturdays.
• Record accurate deliver and product information on order, negotiates delivery times with customers.
• Enters daily time for all drivers utilizing a time entry system.
• Attention to detail is imperative to accurately record delivery and product information into command dispatch system with ability to negotiate delivery times with customers.
• Must be able to perform in high call volume situations while multitasking with plants, team members in the office while sitting for long periods of time.
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all departments and customers on the phone and in person.
• Detailed-oriented and thorough in all duties and be able to work extended hours when needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications, ideally having exceptional typing skills
• Excellent organizational, customer service and telephone skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a high stress environment.
• Ability to perform well in a small team environment.
• Ability to deal with problems as the arise in a professional and courteous manner

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years related experience in call center or customer service position preferred
• Trucking related industry experience preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment

• Office setting
• This position is a largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers
• To avoid injuries to hands, back, and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation
