Job description

Kanter Auto is a family-owned business that has been a cornerstone of the antique and classic car hobby for over 60 years. We specialize in hard-to-find parts for American classic and muscle cars, providing engine, brake, suspension, and other components to restoration shops, hobbyists, and collectors around the world. We're under new ownership and have been undergoing significant modernization efforts and changes over the past two years.

We’re looking for a friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service Representative to join our team. If you’re passionate about classic cars and enjoy helping people find the right parts, this might be the perfect role for you.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with parts for American classic and muscle cars (1930s–1980s)
  • Typing speed of 60+ WPM
  • Strong computer skills – for example, you should be comfortable navigating web-based tools like order management systems, CRMs, or product databases without needing step-by-step instructions
  • Friendly, helpful, customer-first attitude
  • Adaptability – Kanter Auto is a rapidly changing and improving company. If you prefer consistency and get frustrated by change, this is not the job for you. If you like to be part of constant improvement, this is your place.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in automotive parts sales or customer service
  • Experience using Shopify, CRM platforms, or inventory tools

Location:

Our office is located in Boonton, NJ, but remote positions are available for non-local candidates with the right experience and skills.
