UCT is a world-leading specialty chemical manufacturing company serving the environmental, forensics, food and beverage, clinical, pharma, biopharma, and cannabis industries.

The Customer Service Representative greets visitors, answers phones, and supports internal staff and customers by providing helpful information, answering questions, and forwarding issues to the correct department. This role is our front-line support for customers, ensuring satisfaction with products and services.

The hourly rate depends on experience and ranges from $18.00 to $23.00; it is negotiable. Knowledge of Sage CRM is a HUGE PLUS.

  • Order Entry: Process orders promptly; check inventory availability; update order status with department leads; communicate order status to customers or sales representatives; release monthly standing orders.
  • Inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries and problems, providing information or directing requests to relevant departments; handle complaints related to services and products.
  • Pricing: Obtain lead times and pricing from the business manager; communicate pricing and availability to customers; collaborate with Sales on pricing; obtain freight estimates and packaging details.
  • Support: Generate proforma invoices and international shipping documents; coordinate with Accounting on credit holds; work with Technical Service for chemical information; collaborate with QC for CofA and CofC documents.
  • Administrative: Set up and maintain customer accounts; verify inventory levels; manage shipping documentation and filing.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
