Destination Pet LLC is seeking a friendly, professional team member to greet pet parents and manage daily customer service duties in a busy facility. You will answer phones, assist clients, and help guide tours while promoting services that keep pets healthy and happy.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, and availability evenings, weekends, and holidays. We value a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine love for pets in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using multi‑line phones and computer systems.
• Professional under all circumstances and able to stay cool under pressure.
• Willingness to assist in various duties as needed.

• Welcome pet parents and VIPs, delivering a warm, first‑class experience.
• Answer phones with a smile and multitask effectively.
• Show clients around and upsell services that keep tails wagging.
• Ensure vaccinations are up to date and safety is priority.
• Handle check‑ins/outs and manage cash with accuracy.
• Address complaints with patience and professionalism.
• Escort pets to enclosures with care and maintain a tidy lobby.
• Support teammates and adapt to other duties as assigned.

What You Should Know

• Will be on your feet often – standing, walking, climbing stairs, wrangling leashes.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs (bags of food, pet crates, sleepy bulldogs).
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and accidents is part of the gig.

Responsibilities

• Welcome pet parents and their VIPs as if they just walked into a 5‑star resort.
• Answer phones with a smile in your voice and multi‑task like a pro.
• Tour new clients through the facility and sell services that keep tails wagging.
• Ensure vaccinations are up to date – safety first.
• Manage check‑ins and check‑outs with efficiency and a personal touch.
• Handle cash, cards, and balance the end‑of‑day cash drawer.
• Respond to complaints with patience and professionalism.
• Escort pet guests to and from their enclosures with the care of a concierge.
• Keep the lobby clean, welcoming, and ready for first impressions.
• Jump in to support other team members whenever needed. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• People‑person and pet‑person. Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Solid communication chops – phone, in‑person, email.
• Comfortable with multi‑line phones and computer systems.
• Cool under pressure and professional under all circumstances.
• Problem‑solving skills at least as quick as a lab chasing a tennis ball.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
