Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional in-person service, answer inquiries, process payments, and support sale-day activities.

The role involves organizing documents, coordinating with multiple departments, and ensuring high-quality customer interactions. The ideal candidate has prior face-to-face customer service experience, comfort with computers, and strong data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• Previous in-person customer service experience.
• Comfort with computers and learning new software.
• Excellent keyboarding skills for data entry.

• Ability to stay positive under pressure.
• Team player with scheduling flexibility.
• Work hours Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 7:45am-5pm, occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Organize keys and documents by internal coding system and by Lot number; upload documents for each sale.
• Communicate with departments, teams, and customers about documents (LOLCs, purge documents, etc).
• Process payments from successful bidders.
• Provide customers with information about auxiliary services.
• Deliver superior customer service to all customers.
• Support RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety to ensure safety of staff and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.

Job Description

The Customer Service Representative will provide exceptional customer service, answer inquiries, process payments and other sale day activities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for organizing all keys / organizing and filing documents by our internal coding system and then again by Lot number once we go to Lot. Uploading documents to the web each sale
• Actively communicate with many different departments and or team’s and customers who sign up equipment when needing documents such as LOLC’s, Purge Documents etc
• Responsible for processing payments from successful bidders
• Provide customers with information about auxiliary services
• Ensure that superior customer service is always delivered to all customers
• Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous work experience where you worked in-person with customers
• Experience using computers, and able to learn to use new technology and software
• Excellent keyboarding skills for data entry
• A commitment to providing fantastic customer service
• Able to work well and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
• A friendly, outgoing, patient personality
• You thrive working as part of team, pitching in wherever you’re needed
• The work schedule is Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 7:45am-5pm with occasionally working on Saturdays depending on the workload.
