Job description
Overview

Customer Service Representative (Part-Time, Remote)

Bierman Autism Centers

At Bierman Autism Centers, we believe in making every interaction meaningful — whether it’s with our patients, their families, or the communities we serve. We’re passionate about delivering outstanding care and creating supportive environments for children with autism. None of this would be possible without a strong, compassionate, and dedicated team behind the scenes. That’s where you come in.

We’re currently seeking a part-time, remote Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. If you enjoy helping others, communicating with warmth and professionalism, and ensuring that people feel heard and supported, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

What You’ll Do

As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of the families and partners who reach out to Bierman Autism Centers. This means you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impression every day. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming calls, emails, and online inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Providing information about Bierman’s services, locations, and therapy programs in clear and approachable language.
  • Assisting families with scheduling, rescheduling, or updating appointments.
  • Directing calls and messages to the appropriate internal teams and following up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Recording accurate information in our systems to maintain clear communication across the organization.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and sharing feedback with your team lead.
  • Handling sensitive or emotional conversations with patience, understanding, and respect.

Because this is a part-time, remote position, you’ll also be expected to manage your time effectively, work independently, and stay connected with your team through regular virtual check-ins.

What We’re Looking For

This is a people-first role, so we’re seeking someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and takes pride in delivering great service. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong communication skills — You’re comfortable speaking on the phone and writing professional yet friendly emails.
  • Empathy and patience — You understand that families may be going through stressful times, and you know how to listen with compassion.
  • Attention to detail — Accuracy matters, whether it’s entering information in a system or scheduling an appointment.
  • Problem-solving ability — You don’t just answer questions; you help find solutions.
  • Tech comfort — You’re able to use online communication tools, scheduling platforms, and internal databases with ease.
  • Flexibility — You can adapt to changing priorities and schedules while staying focused on service quality.

Experience in a call center, healthcare, education, or customer service setting is a plus, but it’s not required. If you have the skills, the attitude, and the willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Why Work With Us?

At Bierman Autism Centers, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team that values collaboration, compassion, and growth. Even though this role is remote, you’ll feel connected through team support, ongoing training, and opportunities to contribute ideas that shape the way we serve families.

We also understand the importance of balance. As a part-time team member, you’ll have flexible hours designed to fit into your life while still making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families.
