Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the front-line ambassador for our Missouri stores. You will deliver exceptional customer service across in-person, phone, and email interactions while supporting store operations.

Responsibilities include processing sales orders, managing customer accounts, handling cash procedures, and assisting with audits and reporting. A friendly, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service, office, or administrative experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; store opening/closing rotations.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a warm, professional manner representing Ashley's brand image.
• Process sales orders accurately and obtain necessary approvals before finalizing.
• Manage customer accounts and credit applications; assist with financing arrangements.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile transactions under supervision.
• Address customer inquiries professionally, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Assist management with audits, inventory processes, and compliance checks.
• Maintain accurate records and routine sales/office reports.
• Collaborate with sales, merchandising, and store staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize POS systems and retail software to perform duties efficiently.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.

Purpose at Ashley:

The Customer Service Representative is the front-line ambassador for Ashley, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for every customer. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing administrative support to store operations whileassistingwith various office functions. The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in building customer relationships and supports the operational excellence that drives Ashley's retail success.

What You’ll Do

• Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers in a warm, professional mannerrepresentingAshley's brand image. Provide exceptional customer service through all interactions including in-person, phone, and email communications.
• Sales Order Support:Assistwith processing sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required documentation iscomplete,and proper approvals are obtained beforefinalizingtransactions.
• Customer Account Management:Process customer credit applications,assistwith financing arrangements, andmaintainaccuratecustomer account information in retail management systems.
• Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow established cash handling procedures, process payments accurately, and reconcile transactions according to company policies under Office Manager supervision.
• Customer Issue Resolution:Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues to Management asappropriate whilefollowing up to ensure resolution.
• Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support Management with operational audits, inventory processes, and compliance checks by gathering required documentation and verifying accuracy of paperwork.
• Reporting & Documentation:Maintainaccuraterecords, prepare routine reports, and ensure all sales and office paperworkisproperly completed and filed according to company standards.
• Team Collaboration:Work cooperatively with sales team, merchandising personnel, and other store associates to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient store operations.
• Technology & Systems:Utilizepoint-of-sale systems, retail management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools to perform job duties efficiently and accurately.
• Complete anyadditionaltasks as assigned bymanagement

What You Bring

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions
• 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience,preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends andholidays; including rotation for store opening and closing responsibilities – various shifts
• Maintain reliableattendance
