Job summary

Graybar in Lexington is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the primary liaison for customers, handling orders, requests and providing timely, professional support to ensure total satisfaction.

You will respond to inbound and outbound calls, assist with product selection, pricing, and order maintenance, and strive to deliver top-notch service while supporting Graybar’s values and commitment to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact.
• Retail or counter sales experience preferred.
• High School education required.
• 2 year or 4 year degree preferred.

• Ensure every customer experience is top notch in quality.
• Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence, with timely follow-up on issues.
• Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on inbound calls.
• Provide support on product selection and application.
• Coordinate requests including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key contact and liaison for customers to ensure their total satisfaction. You will interact with customers on an ongoing basis, entering orders, handling requests and providing support needed in a timely, professional and courteous manner.

In this role you will:

• Ensure every customer experience is top notch in quality
• Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence in a professional, timely manner, ensuring follow up on all customer issues
• Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on inbound calls
• Provide support on product selection and application
• Coordinate customer service requests including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims

Skills & Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact
• Some retail or counter sales experience preferred
• High School education
• 2 year or 4 year degree preferred

Compensation Details: The expected rate of pay for this position is $18.19 per hour - $23.43 per hour, depending on experience

Shift Hours and Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
