Job summary

Graybar in Lake Charles, LA is hiring a Customer Service Representative who will be a primary contact for customers, entering orders, handling requests and providing timely, courteous support.

You will interact on inbound calls to promote Graybar goods and services, assist with product selection and application, and coordinate orders, pricing, billing and credits to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• High School diploma; 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
• Strong communication and customer focus required.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence.
• Enter orders and coordinate order maintenance, pricing, expediting, billing, credits and claims.
• Assist with product selection and application.
• Sell Graybar goods and services on inbound calls.
• Provide timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key contact and liaison for customers to ensure their total satisfaction. You will interact with customers on an ongoing basis, entering orders, handling requests and providing support needed in a timely, professional and courteous manner.

In this role you will:

• Ensure every customer experience is top notch in quality
• Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence in a professional, timely manner, ensuring follow up on all customer issues
• Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on inbound calls
• Provide support on product selection and application
• Coordinate customer service requests including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims

What you bring to the table:

• Strong communication skills
• A passion for customer service
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact
• 2+ years experience preferred
• High School education
• 2 year or 4 year degree preferred

Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation Details: The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
