Job summary

The Suddath Company seeks an administrative professional to support customer service and relocation operations. You will monitor shipments, balance high volumes of tasks and emails, and perform related clerical duties with accuracy in our systems.

Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under deadlines are essential. On-site role with opportunities to contribute to a busy, globally active relocation team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with 1–2 years related experience or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with customers and vendors.
  • Ability to read and interpret emails and documents, and work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor shipment flow and provide timely updates to agents and accounting.
  • Balance a large volume of tasks and emails effectively.
  • Perform administrative procedures related to customer relocations.
  • Enter accurate information in computer systems and meet deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support to the customer service department.

Communicate with customers and vendors in order to monitor flow of shipment movement while providing excellent customer service and administrative support to the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor customer shipments that in storage to ensure timely updates for our agents and accounting department
  • Effectively balance a large volume of tasks and emails
  • Perform administrative procedures related to the customer's relocation
  • Provide accurate and complete information in computer systems
  • Prioritize workload to meet required deadlines
  • Provide administrative support to customer service department
  • Back up support for receptionist
  • Ability to work overtime

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent customer service and oral/written communication skills required.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
