Job summary

The Suddath Companies is recruiting for an administrative/customer service role based in Jacksonville, FL. You will monitor shipments, assist customers and vendors, and perform relocation-related administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities include handling emails, updating systems, and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication, plus proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative procedures related to the customer’s relocation.
  • Provide accurate information in computer systems and documentation.
  • Prioritize workload to meet deadlines and provide support to the customer service team.
  • Back up receptionist duties as needed; overtime may be required.

Communicate with customers and vendors in order to monitor flow of shipment movement while providing excellent customer service and administrative support to the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor customer shipments that in storage to ensure timely updates for our agents and accounting department
  • Effectively balance a large volume of tasks and emails
  • Perform administrative procedures related to the customer’s relocation
  • Provide accurate and complete information in computer systems
  • Prioritize workload to meet required deadlines
  • Provide administrative support to customer service department
  • Back up support for receptionist
  • Ability to work overtime

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
