Job summary

POOLCORP, the world’s leading distributor of pool and outdoor living products, seeks an Inside Sales Associate in Columbus, OH. You will assist walk-in and phone customers, process orders, and ensure accurate invoicing for pickup or delivery, while delivering excellent service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of inside sales experience, and the ability to lift 100 pounds. 21/hour with bonuses supports the compensation structure.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with walk-in and phone customers professionally.
• Process, pull and distribute customer products quickly and accurately.
• Handle questions and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Enter sales orders into system to generate invoices for pickup or delivery.
• Secure payment with funds or proper credit authorization.
• Assess warranty items per policy and customer needs.
• Estimate delivery dates based on vendor schedules.
• Assist with receiving, shipping and warehouse duties.

Location: Columbus, OH – 39, 1758 Westbelt Dr., Columbus, Ohio – 43228

Pay: $21/hour and up to $2,500 through performance bonuses.

Work Hours: Monday–Friday 8am–5pm.

What to Expect?

• Establishes relationships with customers by assisting walk‑in and phone customers, representing the company in a professional manner.
• Processes, pulls and distributes customer products quickly and efficiently.
• Handles questions and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Accurately performs data entry of sales orders to generate an invoice of products ordered to be picked up or delivered.
• Secures payment of invoice with proper funds or obtain credit authorization in accordance with company policy.
• Evaluates and determines disposition of warranty items handled at the counter, as prescribed by the manufacturer's warranty policy and customer needs.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of vendor’s production and delivery schedules.
• Assists in receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties.

What You Will Need

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years related inside sales experience preferred.
• Ability to move 100 pounds with a dolly.
• Strong counter 'presence' and the ability to deal directly with customers for a large portion of the day.
• Strong customer‑service attitude.
• Good computer skills including MS Office programs.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment dealing with inventory, product allocations and customer issues.
• Familiarity with a related product line such as pool supplies, parts, chemicals or pool construction helpful.
• To be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Compensation & Bonuses

The compensation range for this position in Ohio is between $21/hour based on a full‑time schedule. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commissions plans as well as relocation or cost of living adjustments.
