Job summary

H&K Equipment Family of Companies in Pittsburgh and the tristate area is seeking a Territory Sales Associate to grow our Western NY market and expand parts, service, rental and sales.

The ideal candidate will have sales experience, be mechanically inclined, possess strong organizational skills and thrive in a team environment, working closely with our equipment sales force and operations staff to fulfill demand.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attain and maintain desired market position with assigned territory accounts.
• Make necessary sales and support calls and communicate issues between corporate, retail network and customer.
• Increase aftermarket equipment sales and profits.
• Identify, communicate and work through customer problems, issues, and opportunities.
• Call on current as well as potential customers.
• Develop strategic plans and work with management to ensure growth of assigned service accounts including rental customers.
• Consistently deliver timely follow-up with customers, managers and staff; communication is a top priority.

H&K Equipment is the premier dealer of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, utility vehicles, and more in Pittsburgh and the greater tristate area. Headquartered minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and with additional facilities in West Virginia, we sell, rent, service, and rebuild the most unique selection of custom and heavy-duty material handling equipment in the industry. Our technicians and in-house capabilities enable us to tackle jobs that no other shop can handle.

We are currently seeking aTerritory Sales Associatewho will help grow our established forklift truck territory and expand our parts, service, rental and sales presence in the Western, NY market. The position requires a self-starter to further cultivate, expand, and support an established customer base through after-market sales of parts and service, while working closely with our equipment sales force and operations personnel in fulfilling demand.

The ideal candidate will have sales experience, be mechanically inclined, possess strong organizational skills and thrive in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attain and or maintain desired market position with assigned territory accounts
• Make necessary sales and support calls and communication of issues between corporate, retail network and customer

• Must be able to effectively identify, communicate and work through customer problems, issues, and opportunities
• Call on current as well as potential customers

REQUIREMENTS

• Customer service is a primary personal priority
• Results-driven
• Ability to multi-task and juggle competing deadlines and priorities
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in cold call sales is a plus
• Experience in material handling equipment sales is preferred

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 base + commission
