Job summary

FleetPride in Buena Park, CA is seeking a Customer Service Representative to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction, process orders, promote online ordering, and support inventory and returns.

You should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent), strong communication, and a customer‑service mindset. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with Medical, Dental and Vision, 401K with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of related experience in wholesale distributor, heavy‑duty and commercial after‑market parts suppliers, is preferred, but not a requirement.
  • Excellent communication (oral & written).
  • Customer service oriented.

Customer Service Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest level of customer expectations in the industry.
  • Promote all product lines, features and benefits of our business unit.
  • Process customer orders (order entry).
  • Promote the use of online ordering.
  • Expedite customer stock orders, unit down and special orders.
  • Follow‑up on back orders and stock transfers.
  • Determine customer needs for merchandise and provide information on current promotions.
  • Promote all product lines and solicit sales.
Operational Support
  • Assist in inventory control activities, such as cycling counts, annual inventory and maintaining bin location accuracy.
  • Provide problem resolution that arises with customers, manufacturers and associates.
  • Ensure efficiency and accuracy of the distribution team in areas such as receiving, picking, packing, stocking, shipping, etc.
  • Monitor and reconcile part returns from customers, manufacturers including special returns, annual returns, cores and warranties.
  • Promote a safe and organized work environment as it relates to equipment and inventory.
  • Perform other assigned tasks/responsibilities as needed.
Successful Customer Service Representative
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of related experience in wholesale distributor, heavy‑duty and commercial after‑market parts suppliers, is preferred, but not a requirement.
  • Excellent communication (oral & written).
  • Customer service oriented.
Physical Requirements
  • Will frequently use a computer completing daily activities.
  • May be required to lift, pick, pull, and stock heavy duty truck parts that might be more than 50+ lbs. with lift assist device.
  • May be required to stand for periods of time on a variety of surfaces.
  • May be required to: walk, bend, twist, step, stoop, reach, lift, push and climb.

Pay

The annualized pay ranges vary based on work location. The hourly range for this position is $17.00 – $35.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
