Job summary

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. You will greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, process payments, and provide administrative support to the veterinary team.

You will manage the appointment calendar, check-in/out patients, maintain records, and share information about services and products.

Job description

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, both in-person and over the phone. Your primary responsibilities will include managing client communications, scheduling appointments, handling payments, and providing administrative support to the veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the clinic.
• Answer incoming calls, manage multiple phone lines, and respond to client inquiries with accurate information.
• Schedule appointments, manage the appointment calendar, and confirm upcoming appointments.
• Check-in and check-out patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and handle any billing inquiries.
• Maintain client and patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and entered accurately into the practice management software.
• Provide clients with information about services, products, and after-care instructions.
• Assist with the coordination of patient flow to ensure smooth operation of the clinic.
• Perform general office duties such as digital faxing, emailing, and managing office supplies.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to all patients.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
• Handle client concerns or complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

The Veterinary Receptionist position requires availability during the following hours:

• Monday through Friday 7:15 or 7:30 am- 5:30 pm. Saturday (on rotation) 7:45-12:30 pm

Compensation for the CSR position is looking to start at $17/hr based on experience and work ethic.
