Essential Utilities, Inc. (operating as Aqua and Peoples/Delta) seeks a Customer Service Representative to join its Western Pennsylvania team. You will handle billing inquiries, support credit activities, and ensure compliant, positive customer experiences.

Therole offers a structured training class starting November 16, with a starting pay of $20.81/hour and growth potential to $24+/hour within 18 months, plus comprehensive benefits and daytime schedules.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or aptitude for helping customers in a fast-paced utility setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems to assist customers efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and, when required, make outbound calls to resolve customer questions and complaints.
• Provide prompt and accurate service using complex computer systems and documentation.
• Identify, review and resolve complex billing issues, including errors and credit identifications for new applicants.
• Schedule service orders to address service issues, including emergency orders.
• Educate customers on procedures and services; clarify information and research issues to provide solutions.
• Enter customer meter reads in SAP to document correspondence, issues, actions, and resolutions.
