Job summary

Shoreside Petroleum in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Station Attendant to ensure the gas station is fully stocked, well-maintained, and running smoothly while delivering excellent customer service. You will handle daily store operations, assist with training, and manage cash and card transactions.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of one year in retail or gas station work, experience with money handling, and the ability to obtain a propane certificate within 30 days

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring gas station is fully stocked, well-maintained, and in full working order while providing excellent customer service.

A.JOBDUTIES

• 1. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Assures procedures operate within the framework of organizational goals and objectives. Sells tobacco and other convenience store products.
• 2. OPERATIONS: Responsible for complete station operations in the absence of the Station Manager. Assist with the training and development of all new hires.
• 3. CASH MANAGEMENT: Must have previous experience handling money and using a computerized cash register, and credit card machine. Must be able to balance cash drawer at end of shift.
• 4. PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED: Performs a variety of general duties, dispensing of propane, ordering, restocking products, cleaning and maintaining the facility, and other routine functions.

D.ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

• Education**: High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience**: Must have a minimum of one year work experience. Retail and/or gas station experience is preferred. Must have previous money handling, credit card and cash register experience. Must have general knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Licensure/Certification**: Must be able to acquire propane certificate within 30-days of hire.
• Other Qualifications**: Must be able to work cooperatively with others. Must possess the ability to make decisions according to pre-defined guidelines. Must possess a desire to perform at a high level but doing more than required.
• Attendance**: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
