Work Conditions

Employees may work in varying, sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Employees may be exposed to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including a walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces and tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
