Job Duties

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Training

Essential Functions / Skills

• Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly; provide correct monetary change.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensing and Physical Demands

• Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile or bricks with linoleum in some food process areas. Height of work surfaces 36"–48".
• Walking: Generally short distances for brief durations.
• Sitting: Paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Bulk product deliveries twice a week or more; unloaded using hand truck. Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 lb. Cases stacked up to 72 in. high.
• Carrying: Large cans (3 lb, 7 oz) carried from workstation to storage shelves. Occasionally pizza sauce (30 lb) carried from storage room to front of store. Trays of pizza dough (~12 lb per tray) carried three at a time over short distances.
• Pushing: Pushing trays on dollies; stack of trays on a dolly ~24″–30″ requires up to 7.5 lb of force.
• Climbing: Infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladder for price changes, wall washing, maintenance.
• Stoop/Bending: Forward bending at waist at pizza assembly station, about 30–45 sec at a time, repeated continuously. Forward bending also at front counter and stocking ingredients.
• Crouching/ Squatting: Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
• Reaching: Continuously up, down, forward; above 72" to turn on/off oven controls, change sign prices, lift/lower objects. Down for scooping cornmeal or washing dishes. Forward for topping ingredients, cleaning, answering phones.
• Hand tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous; frequent forceful use of forearms and wrists when shaping dough, using pizza peel and cutter, pinching in cardboard box assembly. Must grasp cans, phone, cutter, peel, boxes.
• Machines, tools, equipment: Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and peel.

Driver / Store Management Responsibilities

• Deliver product by car to customer door. Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Maintain valid driver’s license with safe driving record per company standards; provide insured vehicle for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read map, locate addresses, navigate multi‑story buildings, private homes, adverse terrain.
• Carrying: Carry pizzas, sides, beverages while walking and climbing.
• Driving: Deliver pizzas within designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift.
• Walking: Travel between store and delivery vehicle and customers' locations.
• Climbing: May navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery.

Driver Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing. Far vision and night vision required for driving.
