Job Requirements
You must be 16 years of age or older.
General Job Duties
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions and Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust and cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 degrees or higher.
Physical Requirements
Standing: Most tasks performed from standing position. Height of work surfaces between 36" and 48".
Walking: Short distances for short durations.
Sitting: Paperwork done in office at desk or table.
Lifting:
- Bulk product deliveries unloaded by hand truck; cases up to 50 pounds.
- Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Cases lifted from floor and stacked up to 72".
Carrying:
- Large cans (≈3 lbs, 7 oz) carried from workstation to storage.
- Pizza sauce (≈30 lbs) carried from storage to front of store.
- Trays of pizza dough carried 3 at a time, ≈12 lbs per tray.
Pushing:
- Move trays placed on dollies; force up to 7.5 lbs.
- Trays may also be pulled.
Climbing:
- Sometimes navigate stairs or climb ladder to change prices or perform maintenance.
Stooping/Bending:
- Forward bending at waist necessary at assembly station.
- Duration 30‑45 seconds repeated continuously during the day.
Crouching/Squatting:
- Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching:
- Continuous reaching up, down, forward; above 72" occasionally.
- Reaching down for tasks like scooping cornmeal or washing dishes; forward when obtaining ingredients or answering phones.
Hand Tasks:
- Eye‑hand coordination continuous during the day.
- Handling pizza dough, pizza peel, rolling cutter, cardboard boxes etc.
- Frequent and forceful pinching, grasping cans, phone, cutter, peel, boxes.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids:
Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel.
