Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registrar, you will be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for account information, and verifying insurance coverage.

Responsibilities include:

• Interview patients at workstation or bedside for account info using carts/computers.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Complete and ensure accuracy of charts.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liabilities.
• Obtain signatures for treatments and necessary documentation.
• Process charts according to workflow and standards.
• Interview incoming patients and responsible parties for demographic and insurance info.
• Assign insurance plans accurately.
• Verify benefits and pre-certification status online or via other resources; initiate pre-certification if needed.
• Secure signatures and copies of IDs and insurance cards.
• Explain policies regarding services, pricing, billing, and payments.

Qualifications:

• Preferred 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
