Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to act as a primary customer contact, assist shoppers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, stock and maintain displays, and keep the store clean. You will support the Store Manager in daily tasks to maximize sales and protect assets.

The role emphasizes friendly service, efficient checkout, merchandising accuracy, and adherence to safety and store procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and give change.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
