Job description

Supervise the day to day operations of the retail store including security, customer service, cash operations, ATM services, new accounts, and teller transactions while ensuring compliance with the CTR and MIL requirements of BSA. Manage the staffing schedule, cash needs of the branch, and provide customer service on a variety of relatively complex transactions; opening of savings and checking accounts, handling customer basic questions. Cross-sell existing deposit products individually and through retail staff. Participate in the referral of real estate loans and acceptance of credit card applications. Responsible for accurate and timely filing of all currency transaction reports for cash transactions over $10,000. Responsible for the opening and management of the branch during Branch Manager absence. Train the staff on basic job functions, utilizing In-Branch training for new hire training and reinforcing knowledge and tools implemented through compliance and retail training. May represent the Bank in community/economic development activities and initiatives. Proficient in Insight system, teller capture and basic business software.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - essential job functions include but are not limited to:

• Directing daily operations, supervising all branch staff and branch balancing settlements. Insures insufficient cash requirements are maintained.
• Assign routine tasks to subordinates and develop staff.
• Monitor completion of all routine activities. Control operating losses, teller overages and shortages, and other cash items.
• Responsible for maintaining a desired level of quality service to customers. Handle inquiries from subordinates regarding customer service; customer complaints, mail and daily correspondence.
• Manage the accurate and timely filing of currency transaction reports (CTR’s), ensure that the monetary instrument log is completed daily and ensure that all OFAC inquiries are completed as required by the US Patriot Act.
• Assist in developing and implementing methods to attain sales goals. Achieve assigned individual goals and motivate staff to achieve goals. Recommend branch procedural improvements.
• Give feedback on staff performance and recommend transfer, termination, and other disciplinary actions and promotion of staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s Degree or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of banking experience which includes some time in a leadership role. Proven sales and leadership skills.
