Job Summary

Superior customer service skills are demonstrated by exhibiting high sensitivity to physical and emotional needs of patients and their significant others. Acts as a department resource and a link of communication between the patients, significant others and members of the healthcare team. Continuously updates patients and their significant others regarding progress in the treatment area and any delays, anticipated or real. Responsible for transporting patients and miscellaneous supplies throughout the hospital. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment. Provides clerical support as assigned.

Education
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Medical Terminology
Registration/Certification/Licensure

Act 33/73 clearances Preferred: Family & Friends CPR

Experience
  • Minimum: Six months experience in a customer service role that includes clerical support and data entry.
  • Preferred: Previous clerical support experience in a medical environment; experience transporting patients.
Other Requirements

Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy. Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle single dose medications to include prescription and non-prescription medications. Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.
