Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a part-time Customer Service/Delivery associate at Store #3142 in Clinton, IA. Starting pay is $16.26 per hour or based on experience. You will help customers, process transactions, and deliver products safely using company vans or pickup trucks.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, achieving sales goals, stocking, tinting, loading/unloading, and maintaining the store vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 70 lb.

Qualifications

• Able to retrieve materials from shelves and floors.

Starting pay: $16.26 per hour OR based on relevant experience.

The position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin‑Williams products, recommend solutions, and deliver products safely and timely using company vans or pick‑up trucks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
• Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures, and related requirements when driving a vehicle
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lb frequently and up to 70 lb on occasion
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud e‑Learning courses required for the current position

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
• Previous experience selling paint and paint‑related products
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
• Proficiency in Spanish
