We are seeking a self-motivated, customer service-oriented individual for a Counter Sales role. This full-time position will focus on order entry at the sales counter with other related duties such as warehouse work, stocking shelves, shipping products, and loading trucks. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with potential overtime during the busy season.

Essential Duties

1. Entering orders at the point of sale using the company computer system
2. Interacting with customers over the phone, via email, and in person
3. Greeting customers with a friendly attitude
4. Basic computer and phone skills
5. Communicating product recommendations to customers based on their needs
6. Explaining product pricing and sales to customers
7. Creating sales orders
8. Preparing quotes for project estimates based on customer measurements
9. Scheduling truck deliveries efficiently
10. Maintaining clear communication with managers, employees, and clients
11. Being honest, courteous, and respectful to customers and employees at all times
12. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
13. Learning basic product knowledge to assist customers effectively
14. Informing management of product or special order needs
15. Assisting with inventory cycle counts
16. Order picking, staging, and replenishment
17. Shipping and receiving duties
18. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
19. Delivering using non-CDL box trucks or cargo vans
20. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and electric pallet jacks
21. Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements

1. Basic computer skills and internet use
2. Experience with irrigation or landscaping products is a plus but not required
3. Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are preferred but not required
4. Forklift operation experience is helpful
5. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, with 50 lbs on a repetitive basis
6. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
