This role offers an hourly pay range of $18.00/hr - $26.00/hr. The position is based at 7975 - Richmond CEC, 12800 Tuckahoe Creek Parkway, Richmond, Virginia, 23238.

About the Role

As a Customer Experience Consultant, you will be the key link between customers' online and in-store CarMax experiences, providing a seamless process. Your responsibilities include responding to sales leads and inquiries, guiding customers through their car buying journey, and ensuring excellent service. Successful candidates will embody CarMax's values of honesty and transparency, helping us maintain our reputation as the nation's largest used car retailer.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage with inbound customers via online platforms and phone to understand their needs.
  2. Utilize knowledge of CarMax inventory to recommend suitable vehicles.
  3. Assist customers throughout their buying process, including online sales, financing, and scheduling delivery.
  4. Ensure smooth transition from online to in-store purchasing.
  5. Mentor team members as your skills develop.
  6. Meet sales targets while delivering outstanding customer service.
  7. Obtain Automotive Sales Persons License in applicable states, which may involve testing and travel.
Qualifications
  • Experience in sales or customer service, preferably in retail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent listening and customer focus skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology and computers.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reside within 60 miles or 1 hour of the Richmond CEC.
