Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger in Tomball, TX. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers with loading bags, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment while following company safety rules.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to bag groceries carefully and efficiently.
• Ability to assist customers with loading bags.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items without damage.
• Follow best bagging practices for various bag types.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart at checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills and collect trash in-store and parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Comply with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and request repairs when needed.
• Create welcoming environment and assist customers with questions.
