Our healthcare system is undergoing significant changes, led by companies like UnitedHealth Group. We provide comprehensive training and tools to help you serve our customers effectively. You will handle 50-70 calls daily, assisting customers with their health benefits, including enrollment in new plans, using your personality and our tools to guide them.

This role involves partnering with Payor Relations to identify system-wide payor issues and trends, providing support, performance analysis, feedback, and training.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), Monday through Friday, with shifts from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST. Overtime or weekend work may occasionally be required. Some in-office reporting may be necessary at our Greensboro, NC location: 3803 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27455.

Training consists of 18 weeks, conducted virtually from home, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Greensboro-based employees may have the flexibility to work remotely during their role.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries on the first call, covering benefits, eligibility, claims, financial accounts, and correspondence.
  2. Educate customers on healthcare topics, helping them select suitable benefit plans and providers.
  3. Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating with care providers on behalf of customers.
  4. Guide customers in navigating our websites, encouraging self-sufficiency.

This role requires researching complex issues across multiple databases, demanding strong computer navigation skills and compassionate engagement.

Required Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
  2. Must be 18 or older.
  3. At least 6 months of customer service experience.
  4. Proficiency with computer applications and ability to learn new systems.
  5. Availability to work shifts between 11:30 AM and 8:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday, including occasional overtime and weekends. Some in-office work may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in healthcare or insurance, familiarity with medical terminology and health plans.
  2. Background in social work, behavioral health, or health promotion, especially with vulnerable populations.

  1. Reside within the Greensboro, NC area.

The hourly pay range is $16.88 to $33.22, depending on various factors including experience and location. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401(k).
