Job summary

Sweet Mary's Bakery in Akron, OH is seeking a friendly, motivated individual to join our Customer Service / Barista team. You'll greet customers, take orders, operate Clover POS, and help with prep and stocking.

No prior bakery experience is required, but a passion for learning and high-energy service is essential. Shifts are Wed-Sun, 8am-5pm, with 2 shifts per week minimum; compensation includes tips and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available a minimum of 2 shifts (8-9 hours) per week, Wed–Sun (8am–5pm).
• Friendly, positive attitude toward customers and coworkers.
• Able to work with urgency and communicate clearly with a team.
• Care for products and willingness to learn about them.
• No prior experience required; bakery/cafe experience preferred; wage commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with purchases and orders.
• Learn menu items and ingredients to answer questions.
• Stock display cases and coordinate with kitchen for replenishment.
• Prepare sandwiches, heat soup and gravy, and make drink syrups and components.
• Follow recipes and run the Clover POS for transactions.
• Assist with daily cleaning, stocking, and inventory.

Sweet Mary's Bakery in Akron, OH is looking for a friendly, motivated individual to fill our open Customer Service / Barista position. Qualified applicants will be over 18, and must be available a minimum of 2 shifts (8-9 hours/shift), Wednesday – Sunday (Morning & Afternoons). Experience is not necessary but a desire to learn and assist our customers is required.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers, assisting them in their purchases, using our POS system (Clover), handling cash, answering the phone and taking orders.
• Learning our menu - items available, ingredients, and general info about our processes to be able to best help our customers.
• Keeping cases stocked and coordinating with Back of House to do so.
• Making Sandwiches and heating soup and gravy
• Following recipes to make syrups, drinks and other drink components
• Assist rest of staff with shop daily cleaning, stocking & inventory

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18
• Availability for a minimum of 2 shifts (8-9 hours each) per week during our working hours (Wednesday - Sunday, 8am-5pm), including one weekend day.

• No prior experience is required, but some bakery/cafe experience is highly preferred (Wage is commensurate with experience).
