Duties
- Assist customers with questions and recommendations
- Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
- Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
- Keep store well-stocked and recover merchandise
- Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards
- Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment while maintaining professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, leaders
- Maintain cleanliness throughout store: cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, taking out trash, ensuring neatness
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, drug store environment highly preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required
- Must be able to lift between 30-50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, repetitive lifting
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required
