Job summary

Queenstown Bank is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate (Bank Teller) in Maryland to deliver exceptional service, greet customers, and process transactions at the branch. The role is about 27 hours per week with a fixed Mon/Wed schedule and weekend Saturday hours, supporting colleagues to meet branch goals.

Responsibilities include educating customers on digital services and fraud solutions, building relationships, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including database and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented with basic math skills.
• Ability to count currency, coin, and negotiable instruments.

Customer Service Associate - Bank Teller

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

This is a part-time position, approximately 27 hours per week: Mon/Wed 9am - 5:15pm; Friday 9am - 6:15pm; and Saturday 8:15am - 12:15pm (three Saturdays per month)

This position is the face of the bank, responsible for delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner
• Process customer transactions efficiently, accurately and in compliance with bank policies, including but not limited to deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks and accepting loan payments.
• Build relationships by developing trust and engaging in conversations to understand customers’ financial needs and referring to Customer Service Representatives to recommend appropriate bank products and services
• Educate customers on digital services to deepen their understanding of alternative service opportunities and fraud solutions.
• Work closely with colleagues throughout the bank to achieve branch goals and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Follow all banking regulations, security and operational procedures to protect customers and bank assets.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience):

• High school diploma or (GED) required.
• 1 year of cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills to include database and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Detail oriented.
• Basic math skills to include the ability to calculate interest and balance accounts.
• Ability to count currency, coin, and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Mobility sufficient to perform activities required of position, including travel to branch locations
• Manual dexterity for the functional operation of office equipment, such as computers, calculators, etc.
• Ability to actively engage in necessary communications with internal and external customers.
