Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill seeks a Customer Service Associate to support store operations with friendly service, merchandise presentation, and general upkeep aligned with the organization's mission.

You will greet customers, assist with locating items, restock, maintain dressing rooms and restrooms, and help with merchandising tasks while working as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but all educational backgrounds considered.
• Up to one month of related experience or training may be acceptable.
• Ability to read the English language preferred.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them in finding items or answering questions.
• Monitor and open dressing rooms and restrooms as needed.
• Clean store areas, including restrooms.
• Maintain and organize display areas and merchandise for sale.
• Place merchandise on the sales floor and hang clothing when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job SummaryThe Customer Service Associate assists with store operations by providing excellent customer service, maintaining merchandise presentation, and supporting general store upkeep in alignment with HOT Goodwill's mission and values.Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.Customer Service & Store OperationsGreets customers upon encounter and assists them in finding items and/or answering questions.Monitors and opens dressing rooms and restrooms, as needed.Cleans areas of the store, including restrooms.Merchandising & ProductionRemoves out-of-date items from display areas, including pulling wares and clothing.Maintains display areas, including special displays, racks, shelves, bins, and other areas displaying merchandise for sale.Puts merchandise, including wares and clothing, out on the sales floor.Hangs clothing in production, when needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory DutiesNone.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
