Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to support our customer service phone line and perform essential administrative duties in the office. You will locate claim information in Ascot programs and direct callers to the proper adjuster or department.

The role also involves sorting mail, handling checks, and assisting the mailroom to maintain smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include triaging calls, routing to the correct party, and collaborating with the office manager.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of related work experience required or preferred.
  • Associates Degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Answer the Worker’s Compensation Customer Service number and triage calls.
  • Look up claim numbers and adjusters in Ascot programs and route calls accordingly.
  • Sort Worker’s Compensation mail and assign to the correct adjuster.
  • Support office manager and mailroom as needed.
  • Sort incoming Worker’s Compensation checks for processing.
  • Demonstrate The Ascot Way in daily interactions with colleagues.

Job Summary

Ascot is looking for a Customer Service Assistant to support our customer service phone number as well as other essential administrative duties. Responsibilities include answering and supporting incoming customer service calls, locating claim information in various Ascot programs, and directing callers to the appropriate adjuster or department. The position also assists with sorting and assigning Workers’ Compensation mail, and supporting our mailroom as needed. Duties also include organizing incoming checks to ensure timely processing. This role helps maintain smooth daily operations and supports the overall efficiency of the team. This role will be an in office position.

Responsibilities
  • Answering the Worker’s Compensation Customer Service number and triage calls as appropriate

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Associates Degree preferred; High School Diploma required
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a team, meet deadlines, and successfully perform in a changing, fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter and focused eye for detail and accuracy
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
