Job summary

Fedway Associates is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for our on-site location in Basking Ridge, NJ. You will be the liaison between the company and customers, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction for accounts across our wine and spirits distribution network.

The role requires strong communication, ability to work independently or in a team, and comfort with multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally.
• Conducting collections calls to follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Applying cash receipts to customer accounts accurately.
• Performing general office duties (scanning, faxing, etc.).
• Maintaining customer accounts and updating contact information, credit limits, and payment terms.
• Collaborating with sales team to resolve issues and discrepancies.
• Cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers.

Fedway is New Jersey's leading wine and spirits distributor. Servicing over 7,000 restaurants, clubs, taverns and retail stores in New Jersey. We market products that cover every category of the beverage alcohol industry and represent the world's leading distillers, wineries, and importers. Responsibilities Include

• Answering incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally, promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests
• Conducting collections calls to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment discrepancies
• Applying cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and efficiently
• Performing general office duties, including scanning, faxing, and other administrative tasks as needed
• Maintaining customer accounts, updating contact information, credit limits, and payment terms as needed
• Collaborating with the sales team and other departments to resolve customer issues and discrepancies effectively
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally and promptly
• Covering receptionist breaks by managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries appropriately
• Performing general office duties, including scanning, faxing, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• Previous experience in customer service, accounts receivable, or related roles within the liquor and wine industry is highly desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
• Bilingual in Spanish/English, a plus

Physical Requirements

• Job is 100% on‑site in Basking Ridge, NJ
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and phone
• Occasionally lift 15 lbs

Compensation

• $18.00-$22.00/hr
• Full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401K, and life insurance

Position Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, On‑Site 8:45 am-5 pm.
