Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time customer service representative in Kansas City, MO to support our sales team and customers with professional, timely service. This onsite role involves quotes, orders, sourcing parts, and assisting stockroom operations.

The position offers a 401K with company match, insurance, time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee assistance programs, with hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in customer service or inside sales; industrial distribution a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; multitask well.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; grammar matters.

Responsabilités

We are hiring a full-time creative, resourceful customer service representative (CSR) in Kansas City, MO. In this role, you will provide professional and timely support to our sales team and customers. This position is onsite at our service center, part of a great team. Hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, expediting / returns
• Sourcing parts
• Assist in generating sales
• Help in the stockroom as needed, deliver orders to customers as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ year customer service or inside sales. Industrial distribution or parts counter environment a plus
• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor
• Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license & clean driving record (MVR)
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. We are not able to offer sponsorship of work visas for this position.
• This position is not eligible for relocation benefits and is expected to be performed on site.
• Basic computer skills including Excel

• Hydraulic, bearings, or power transmission knowledge
• Mechanical aptitude
