This Customer Sales Manager (CSM) position embodies that ambition, owning & being responsible for Food Lion Condiments & Coffee categories, with a selling execution of $125MM of revenue. The role involves Food Lion as a vital member of the Ahold Delhaize Customer Business Team (CBT). The CSM acts as the liaison between Kraft Heinz and Food Lion Teams, leading all selling activities & driving efforts to improve financial and market share position. The goal is to deliver revenue and share objectives, pursue growth strategies, provide category management expertise, and ensure the delivery of cross-functional sales value through the implementation of sales plans and shelving objectives.

Due to customer connectivity, this role is based in the Charlotte Area or on the East Coast.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  1. Partner effectively with customers, building rapport at all levels to understand their business, marketplace, and foster positive growth.
  2. Achieve New Item Authorization, Distribution goals, & Base Business Objectives: Revenue and Share Growth, Authorizations, Distribution, and Shelving.
  3. Lead implementation of Space Management Projects.
  4. Achieve promotional revenue objectives through tactics, price points, Drive Period & Selling Events, while implementing Kraft Heinz pricing strategies.
  5. Maintain detailed business documentation of transactions.
  6. Manage customer P&L, including trade balances.
Expected Experience & Required Skills
  • Proven experience in customer management, account management, and/or retail sales management within a CPG company.
  • Ability to manage a business process and category management for a complex sales portfolio of at least $30M.
  • Reside on the East Coast, preferably Charlotte, or willing to relocate.
  • Customer-first mentality with effective management and selling skills to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a CBT framework, planning, organizing, and setting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written, verbal, presentation) with negotiation and influence capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary sales systems such as IRI, Spark, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of using syndicated or ambiguous data to develop business plans and influence customer objectives.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% as needed.

Salary Range: $102,100 - $127,600

Bonus: Performance-based bonus according to plan terms.

Compensation will consider internal equity, geographic region, experience, and other factors.
