Overview

The Customer Returns Clerk will utilize FWM's ERP system to record all incoming customer return shipments and ensure all returned goods are appropriate in quantity, document returned material identification and findings, update Return Material Authorization (RMA) records, initiate customer credits, and forward returned material and information to appropriate department for further analysis.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in ERP Inventory Records and Transactions within a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a FWM Inspection department desired.
Job Responsibilities
  • Examine and unpack incoming customer returns.
  • Count, weigh, or measure each item returned. Reconcile quantities returned with that of the return's forms and documents.
  • Perform preliminary inspection of returned material to verify customer complaint, and record product identification and inspection results in the complaint record within the complaint documentation system.
  • Provide insight within the complaint record regarding the cause of insufficient wire quality if provided adequate information.
  • Work with Customer Service and Quality Departments to troubleshoot any discrepancies.
  • Record all returned product in the ERP system.
  • Determine and verify credit dollar amount that will be issued to customer. Notify finance to issue credit to customer. Notify appropriate MRB individuals to sign off on credit, then notify finance to issue credit.
  • Determine appropriate department to receive return and ensure safe delivery of product.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through handling of product returns.
  • Adhere to and comply with corporate standards and procedures in handling customer returns.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage and departments.
  • Keep assigned work and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Fast-paced production environment.
  • Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime may sometimes be required.
  • Standing, walking, lifting, and bending some of shift.
  • Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion.
  • May be required to perform work above shoulder height.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting.
