May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet the Academy’s mission and may travel from time to time to attend conferences and training events. Appropriate notice will be given.

Samarcand Training Academy is the primary training facility within the Department of Public Safety and provides both in-residence and commuter, basic and advanced training courses for various law enforcement and emergency management personnel across North Carolina. The academy has two campuses: the main campus in Moore County and a satellite campus in Montgomery County, which will host the Center for Safer Schools. The main campus features numerous buildings, training facilities, dormitories, and specialized training areas.
This position will oversee, plan, and supervise all day-to-day activities for the Customer Relations Team and trainer partners associated with the campus registrar’s office. Responsibilities include:
Work is performed independently under the supervision of the Deputy Director, Samarcand Training Academy, and is reviewed periodically.
The qualifications for this role include:
Preferred qualifications include experience in establishing relationships with agency personnel and the public, working in a college registrar’s office, creating PowerPoint presentations, and programming RFID key cards.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. All work history and education must be documented on the application. Resumes may supplement but not replace a complete application.
