Job summary

Module X Solutions is seeking a Customer Quality Supervisor to lead quality programs for complex engineered systems and ensure customer satisfaction through standards, feedback analysis, and cross‑functional improvements.

You will supervise testing staff, manage FAT readiness, and partner with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and prevent repeat problems, while maintaining clear documentation and compliant quality processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Quality in a manufacturing setting.
  • 1+ year of leadership experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, ability to create reports, maintain records, analyze data.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, work instructions, inspection criteria, or customer requirements.
  • Lead people on the floor while maintaining professional relationships with production, engineering, customers, suppliers, and management.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Quality in a manufacturing setting with background in electrical processes.
  • 3+ year of leadership experience.
  • Experience with NCRs, MRB, CAPA, SCARs, 8D problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Strong Excel capability; SharePoint, PowerApps, Power BI, ERP, MES, or QMS software experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other formal quality management system requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a similar discipline. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified.

  • Support customer visits, audits, and inspections to address concerns.
  • Coordinate cross functionally to manage action resolution to customers’ satisfaction.
  • Supervise day‑to‑day activities of quality test technicians and support personnel.
  • Set daily testing priorities and track progress.
  • Provide hands‑on support for testing and FAT.
  • Document testing results, quality records, NCRs, CAPAs, and deviations.

JOB SUMMARY:

A Customer Quality Supervisor oversees customer satisfaction by implementing quality standards, analyzing feedback, resolving issues, and coordinating cross‑functional improvements to ensure products and services meet customer expectations. This role typically includes developing quality protocols, monitoring customer complaints, training staff, and reporting performance metrics to senior management. A Customer Quality Supervisor ensures that customer needs, expectations, and feedback directly inform product and service quality. They act as the bridge between customers and internal teams, driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with quality standards.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop customer satisfaction goals and monitor progress.

  • Implement feedback systems to capture customer experience data.

  • Analyze customer complaints to identify improvement areas.

  • Represent the “Voice of the Customer” in internal decision‑making.

  • Act as the main focal between operations and our customers to always ensure top customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure products are complete, clean, and fully ready to present to customers for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

  • Support customer visits, audits, and inspections to ensure products and factory show well and customer concerns are addressed fully and in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate cross functionally to manage action resolution to the customers’ satisfaction.

  • Supervise and coordinate day‑to‑day activities of quality test technicians and assigned quality support personnel.

  • Set daily testing priorities, communicate work assignments, track completion, and elevate barriers that could impact production or customer commitments.

  • Provide hands‑on support for functional testing, equipment provisioning and customer factory acceptance testing (FAT).

  • Ensure testing results, quality records, punch items, NCRs, MRB actions, deviations, CAPAs, SCARs, and customer‑related issues are documented accurately and closed in a timely manner.

  • Develop and deploy improved processes for managing customer furnished equipment issues for communicating with customers. Manage customer RMA’s (Return Material Authorization) for equipment that must be removed and replaced by customers’ vendors.

  • Support containment, investigation, disposition, correction, corrective action, and verification activities for internal nonconformances and customer escapes.

  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project Management to resolve quality issues and prevent repeat problems.

  • Review drawings, specifications, work instructions, inspection plans, and customer requirements to confirm inspection criteria are understood and applied consistently.

  • Train, coach, and develop testing personnel on inspection expectations, documentation practices, use of quality systems, and professional communication.

  • Use Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Excel, and other digital tools to maintain records, build reports, analyze trends, and improve quality workflows.

  • Monitor quality performance metrics such as defects, rework, escapes, closure aging, inspection throughput, and repeat issues; communicate trends to management.

  • Assist with development and standardization of procedures, forms, checklists, inspection plans, and training materials.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, factual problem solving, clean documentation, safety, and timely escalation.

  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and control of quality areas, inspection stations, records, gauges, and nonconforming material areas.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support changing business needs.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Quality in a manufacturing setting.

  • 1+ year of leadership experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, computers, and tablets; must be able to create reports, maintain records, analyze basic data, and communicate professionally by email.

  • Working knowledge of inspection practices, quality standards, nonconformance handling, and basic manufacturing documentation.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, work instructions, inspection criteria, or customer requirements.

  • Ability to lead people on the floor while maintaining professional relationships with production, engineering, customers, suppliers, and management.

  • Strong attention to detail, urgency, ownership, and willingness to learn technical manufacturing processes quickly.

  • High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Quality in a manufacturing setting with background in electrical processes.

  • 3+ year of leadership experience

  • Experience with NCRs, MRB, CAPA, SCARs, 8D problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability preferred, including filtering, sorting, basic formulas, tables, and data cleanup; SharePoint, PowerApps, Power BI, ERP, MES, or QMS software experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other formal quality management system requirements.

  • Experience using SharePoint, Power Apps, ERP/MRP systems, quality databases, dashboards, or other digital workflow tools.

  • Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a similar discipline. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
