RTX seeks a Production Quality Engineering Co-Op in Burnsville, MN, for a full-time, on-site program running June-December. This mentorship role focuses on production improvement, new product introduction, and failure analysis to sharpen engineering skills.

You will work on Lean manufacturing projects, learn root cause analysis (8D), supplier quality, and quality management systems while supporting continuous improvement and learning from experienced engineers.

Qualifikationen

Embark on an exciting journey as a Production Quality Engineering Co-Op! Dive into critical production improvement projects, lead new product introductions, and tackle challenging product failure analyses. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run June-December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

• Support production improvement and new product introduction projects.

• Supplier Quality Assurance: Key aspects of managing supplier quality.
• New Product Development: Phases and tools of new product development and launch.
• Quality Management Systems: Standards and certification processes.
• Lean Manufacturing: Techniques like 5S and Value Stream Mapping.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 credits by the start of the co-op session.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Has basic knowledge of tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Characteristic Matrix, Gage Capability, Process Capability, Process Flow, Preventive Maintenance, Machine Runoff, etc.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
