RTX is posting a full-time co-op opportunity in Melbourne, FL. You will work onsite with aerospace and manufacturing teams, supporting cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives. The program runs January through August, with mentoring from senior engineers.

Ideal candidates are industrial engineering students with 60+ credits, proficient in Excel, Power BI, SAP, and CAD tools, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to KPI-driven projects in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering or related STEM and enrolled through the internship/co-op.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the co-op session.
• Familiarity with electronics and lean manufacturing concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel (advanced formulas), PowerPoint, SAP, AutoCAD, Power BI, SQL, VBA Macros, Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that runs January-August.
• Co-facilitate events, activities, and projects to deliver value to customers and KPIs.
• Identify drivers of cost and propose alternative cost-reduction solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with RTX CORE.
• Support shop floor management strategies, including Visual Management, Cell Design, and Material Flow.
• Act as a culture champion and change agent.

What You Will Do:

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Learn:

Qualifications You Must Have:

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with principles and techniques commonly used in electronics and lean manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel (including advanced formulas and data visualization) and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, Power BI, SQL, VBA Macros, and Tableau.

Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
