Job summary

Elite Connector is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to support customer quality requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment. You will be the link between customers, suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and quality to ensure requirements are understood and met.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing quality, strong AS9100D/AS13100 knowledge, and experience with RCCA, MRB, PPAP, and APQP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of AS9100D and AS13100.
• Knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, 8D, A3, RCCA.
• Experience with MRB processes and customer quality requirements.
• Knowledge of metrology and/or metallurgical inspection.
• Strong root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary quality contact for customers regarding nonconforming products, corrective actions, and quality-related issues.
• Investigate customer concerns and lead RCCA activities.
• Manage MRB activities and customer return dispositions.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on FAI documentation.
• Support APQP and PPAP activities and provide required documentation to customers.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements and communicate them internally.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Inspection to resolve quality and production issues.
• Develop and improve process control plans, capability studies, and process audits.
• Monitor quality performance metrics and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Support NPI and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate test/inspection results against specs and customer requirements.
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and inspection personnel.
