Job summary

RTX is seeking a Customer Product Specialist for Tucson, AZ to contribute to ensuring system components meet required specifications prior to delivery. The role involves integration, verification, and field testing of complex hardware in a defense environment.

You will trace faults, create testing documentation, and support field testing along with occasional travel. A related degree and hands-on hardware testing experience are essential for this onsite role.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with hardware systems integration is required.
  • Experience with lab/field test equipment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform integration, verification, and field qualification testing to ensure the system performs to specifications.
  • Trace and correct faults in mechanical or electronic systems.
  • Create/modify documentation to support testing reviews and outcomes.
  • Support field testing and occasional travel (1–2 weeks typical duration).
  • Assist in-field training on operation and testing procedures.

In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC)

Job Opportunity

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Customer Product Specialist to join our team in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will contribute to the critical process of ensuring all system components meet required specifications and performance standards prior to delivery.

What You Will Do
  • Perform integration, verification, and field qualification integration and/or testing to ensure the system under test performs according to specifications/requirements.
  • Trace and/or correct faults in mechanical or electronic systems.
  • Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with testing.
  • Support field testing and occasional travel for durations typically for a one- or two-week duration.
  • Support in field training on how to operate and conduct testing.
What You Will Learn
  • Gain knowledge and technical exposure to a modern effector system.
  • Gain an understanding of how to operate and troubleshoot a modern effector system.
  • Gain an understanding of how the Test Strategy aligns and interacts with the overall mission CONOPS and effector system development.
Qualifications
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with Hardware Systems Integration.
  • Experience with the use of lab/field test equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Platform Integration and/or Flight Test experience.
  • Experience supporting field tests, or systems deployed in the field.
  • Experience collecting and evaluating data to diagnose and solve technical issues.
  • Technician experience working on military platforms, such as Fixed Wing, Rotary Wing, Ground Based, and ship-based platforms.
  • Experience in integration with test equipment, telemetry data analysis tools, and missile systems host platforms.
  • Experience in both test planning/strategy in addition to test execution.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Annual Incentive Compensation Programs
  • This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
