Job summary

PSEG Long Island is seeking a qualified candidate to support electric service inquiries and related regulatory compliance in a dynamic utility environment.

Qualifications

  • Compliance with 10 CFR 810.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all customer inquiries, requests, complaints about electric service.
  • Determine and perform demand, load factor, projected revenue, metering, deposits, tariffs, and related requirements.
  • Plan and design transmission/distribution facilities per standards, prepare sketches and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate work orders to ensure timely service to customers.

$36.41 - $62.43 per hour

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for handling all customer inquiries, requests, complaints, etc. involving the establishment and maintenance of electric service.
  • Determine prepare and/or perform-demand, load factor, projected revenue, proper metering equipment, rate application, service deposits, agreements for electric extensions, application of tariffs, rules and regulations codes and standards, secure easements, communicate company programs, service inspections.
  • Applying technical expertise and company construction standards, design and application standards, procedures and guides, plan, design, prepare sketches, cost estimates and necessary orders for the construction and maintenance of all electric transmission and distribution facilities.
  • Act as coordinator for work orders and be responsible for coordinating activities in order to provide service to the customer in a timely manner.
Job Qualifications:
  • Required to have an Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science from an accredited engineering or technological school.
  • Electrical background/utility experience is preferred.
  • Curriculums must be from an ABET or equivalent accredited engineering or technical school or program.
  • A valid US driver's license.
  • ADM Exam.
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
Some positions at PSEG require access to information covered by the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 (Part 810).
  • A citizen or national of the USA; OR
