Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems (DCS) is seeking a Customer Service Hands-On Trainer to lead practical, on-site training for maintenance and operations teams on automated conveyor systems.

You will develop clear training materials, translate complex technical content into actionable plans, and travel up to 50% to client sites while strengthening long-term relationships.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience maintaining PLC automated conveyor systems.
  • Understand high and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Able to build structured content with clear goals and outcomes.
  • Confident presenting technical information to teams.
  • Flexible and willing to support customers on weekends.
  • Strong customer service instincts and collaboration.
  • Stay organized with shifting priorities and evolving schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Show maintenance teams how to repair and maintain conveyor systems.
  • Train Operations teams on system components and functions.
  • Build manuals and presentations to support System Training.
  • Translate safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures into clear training plans.
  • Organize supporting documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Track all completed trainings and gather feedback to continuously improve quality.
  • Identify when customers need additional support and schedule remedial training, including coordinating billing.
  • Travel up to 50 percent to customer and vendor sites to deliver and receive training.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Hands-On Trainer, you will lead high-quality, hands-on training experience for Maintenance Teams wanting to learn how to repair and maintain automated conveyor systems. You will help Maintenance and Operations teams build confidence in their systems while strengthening long-term customer relationships.

You will bring structure, clarity, and forward thinking to every training you design. You will spot gaps, simplify technical content, and create materials that make sense in the real world.

In this role, you will
  • Show maintenance teams how to repair and maintain conveyor systems.
  • Train Operations teams on their overall system components and functions.
  • Build manuals and presentations to support System Training.
  • Translate safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures into clear and effective training plans.
  • Organize supporting documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Track all completed trainings and gather feedback to continuously improve quality.
