About the Role

We’re looking for a Customer.io Lifecycle Marketing Specialist who can help us design, build, and optimize automated email campaigns that engage and convert our student community. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Growth, Product, and Operations to execute high-impact lifecycle marketing initiatives that drive user engagement, retention, and conversion.

  • Design and create high impact email templates: Design visually engaging, mobile friendly, and high converting email templates using html, customer.io, and other tools.
  • Email campaign execution: Set up and implement automated email campaigns for our users and community of students with effective segmentation, triggers, and attributes to deliver targeted messaging.
  • Set-up and automate user workflows: Work with the team to create optimal drip sequences, onboarding, and retention campaigns that drive engagement and conversion to the next step in the funnel.
  • Test and optimize through A/B testing: Continuously work with the team on optimizing subject lines, content, and send times to improve lifecycle marketing performance.
  • Analyze email performance data to drive future campaign optimizations: Surface key performance metrics and recommend specific optimizations to improve engagement and the performance of future campaigns.
  • Ensure deliverability & compliance: Maintain email deliverability best practices and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Growth, Engineering, Product, and Operations: Work with different teams to execute lifecycle marketing campaigns that align with company goals.”

What We’re Looking For:

  • Required 2+ years hands-on expertise with Customer.io, including workflow automation, segmentation, and event-based triggers.
  • 2+ years experience in email marketing, lifecycle automation, CRM operations.
  • Strong experience building automated email workflows in Customer.io, including segmentation, triggers, and event-based messaging.
  • Proven ability to optimize email campaigns through A/B testing, deliverability best practices, and performance analytics.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email design; experience using email design tools like Stripo, Litmus, or similar a plus.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret key metrics, adjust strategies, and optimize based on learnings and insights.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams to ensure email workflows align with product, engineering, and marketing specifications.
  • Experience working with international audiences is a plus.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to execute multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys problem-solving alongside different teams.
