Job summary

ALDI store in Middletown, OH is seeking a hardworking store associate to merchandise, stock, cashier and clean to keep the store inviting. You will support customers and work with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional service.

The role is full-time with an average of 30+ hours per week and a starting wage of $19.50 per hour, with scheduled increases over five years. Benefits are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, baler and pallet jacks.
• Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Perform basic arithmetic and follow instructions with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Provide excellent customer service and escalate concerns as needed.
• Inform management of loss due to damaged or expired products.
• Use POS to scan purchases and address scanning issues.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures and operate checkout lanes efficiently.
• Open additional lanes to ensure an efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays per merchandising planograms.
• Complete curbside pickup orders accurately and timely.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist management in achieving operational efficiency and loss goals.
• Follow company policies and ensure a safe work environment.
• Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning tasks per company standards.
