Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to serve customers, locate merchandise, and operate the checkout. You will assist with stocking, pricing, and merchandising while maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards.

Daily duties include greeting customers, scanning items, processing payments, bagging purchases, and supporting the Store Manager to maximize sales and protect company assets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and process payments, bag items.
• Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Clean store areas and help with sidewalk displays and store maintenance.
